NEXT RIDE
August 18 - 21 Road Trip to Black Mountain (Harlan KY)
We will be leaving the Walmart in Travelers Rest Thursday at 8:30a.m.
Then off to Harlan KY via I-40 and Hwy 25 through Harrogate TN and across Hwy 119
to Harlan. Base camp will be the Harlan County Campground where TNT has already
reserved two (2) cabins. There is also open camping area available.
Let Jim know if you going and need help with accomodations and be
prepared for two days of wheeling.
Trail Rating = A minimum of '3 wheel drive' is required. If your open front and rear,
this is not the ride for you. Many of trails will be challenging even in dry conditions.
August 27 Venture Outdoors 4x4 Off Road Cruise (Pickens SC)
Looks like we willl have a few TNT members 'cruise up' there around 4:00p.m
Come hang out for a few hours in downtown Pickens and enjoy the festivities.
September 23 - 25 - SWFDA's 30th Dixie Run at Golden Mountain (Sparta TN)
Southern Four Wheel Drive Association 's 'premiere' event . Lots of activities
planned this year with guided trails inside the Golden Mountain Park and
'out of park' excursions to some local vistas, Rock Race, and a huge raffle.
Trail rating = any vehicle, depending on which classification of trail rides you choose.
If you plan on going, then registar at the SFWDA website (http://www.sfwda.org/dixierun).
Base camp will be at the Red Roof Inn in Cookeville TN (exit 287 off of I-40)
which is only 10 miles from the event. Red Roof inn phone number 931-528-2020
