February's Meeting
GUEST VISITORS
Two special guests attended the February meeting.
Mark Hunt from the "Upstate Legends" (a large jeep club) came by
and briefly descibed their club. Mark also expressed an interest
in the Gorges State Park ride on the 21st. We hope to see some
Upstate Legends members come out and ride with us.
Ray Stanely (President of SFWDA) and his wife Gwen 'dropped' by'
for a visit. Ray talked about the new direction SFDWA is taking and the
affect these changes. There main focus is communication, using
'social media' as the means. SFWDA is going to be busy in 2015.
50/50 CHARITY RAFFLE
Besdies the 50/50 raffle for next month, a nice pair of 'cold weather'
will be raffled ($2 each or 3 for $5). Proceeds will be for the'SFWDA
'club membership' for 2016

SOUTHERN FOUR WHEEL DRIVE ASSOCIATION (SFWDA) UPDATE
Ray Stanely, President of Southern Four Wheel Drive Association,
'dropped by' the February club meeting and talked a little bit on the
new direction SFWDA is taking.
TRICK N TRACTION TRASH BAGS
Michael unvailed an assortment of trashbags with the club log . Michael will
make up around 10 trash bags (burlap style) and is asking $5 (to cover material).
Such a deal!!! Thanks Michael

· February 21- Trail ride through the Jocassee Gorges
We will stop at the Horse Pasture river bridge for lunch
Meet at the Marathon gas station on Hwy 11
just west of Hwy 130 (Salem) at 10:00a.m.
We will travel up Hwy 130/281 into North
Carolina to Gorges State Park and then to
the Jocassee Gorges Trailhead
· March 7 - SFWDA 'Meet and Ride' at Royal Blue
A brief SFWDA meeting at Cove Lake State Park
(north of Knoxville TN up I-75 at exit 134) at 9:00a.m.
and then off to the Sandmines at 10:00 for a day of riding
Permits for Royal Blue can be bought Pilot Travel Center
up the road at I-75 exit 141
Tentative 'basecamp' will be at Caryville's 'Hotel Row' (I-75 exit 134).
If possible, please RSVP to SFWDA through their 'whats happening'
tab on the SFWDA website (sfwda.org) so they can get an idea
how many are coming out to rideNext Meeting
